Hiring an n8n developer: common questions
What does an n8n developer actually do?
They translate a business process into a working n8n workflow: choosing triggers, wiring the nodes and API calls, handling errors and retries, and testing the output against real data. On our side we also host and monitor it, so you are not left with a workflow you have to babysit.
Do I need my own n8n instance?
No. We can build on our infrastructure and hand you the finished tool through your WorkFlowBot dashboard. If you already run self-hosted or n8n Cloud, we can build inside your instance instead and hand over the workflow files.
How much does it cost to hire an n8n developer?
We work on fixed scope rather than hourly rates. Plans start at $49/month and include a set number of builds and runs; larger or multi-system projects are quoted before any work starts. Full detail is on the pricing page.
How long does a build take?
A single-process workflow is typically live within a week of scoping. Projects touching several systems, or ones that need credentials and approvals from your side, run longer — we give you a date at the point of scoping.
What happens when an API changes or a workflow breaks?
Maintenance is included in your plan. We monitor runs, get alerted on failures, and fix the workflow. You do not pay separately for keeping an existing automation working.
Can you take over a workflow someone else built?
Yes. Send us the exported workflow or access to the instance. We audit what is there, tell you what we would change, and take on maintenance from that point.
